How old is my Frigidaire appliance?
Type the serial number from the Frigidaire label to see when it was built. Frigidaire units are built by Electrolux, so the serials follow that company's format.
Reading a Frigidaire serial number
Since 1986 the third character is the last digit of the year and the next two are the week. 3F91400621 is a cooktop from week 14 of 2009.
The decade is not in the serial. The owner’s manual print date usually settles it.
A tag that reads "General Motors" means the unit was built before 1979.

Electrolux plant, product, year digit and week
Used 1986 to today. Example: 3F91400621
The first character is the plant and the second letter is the product type. The third character is the last digit of the year, and the fourth and fifth are the week. The decade is not in the serial, so one code fits a year in each decade.
Worked example: 3F91400621 fits Week 14 of 1989 (around April) or Week 14 of 1999 (around April) or Week 14 of 2009 (around April) or Week 14 of 2019 (around April). The page above explains how to tell which.
The full lookup tables are on the Electrolux page, since Frigidaire uses the same code.
