Reading a LG serial number

LG says the serial starts with three digits: the last digit of the year, then the month. 603 means March 2006 or March 2016.

The decade is not in the serial. The model number or owner’s manual settles it.

Where the serial is on a LG

On a refrigerator, look on the side wall of the fresh food section. On a front-load washer or dryer, look for a silver label behind the door. On a top-load washer, check the back, under the lid, or the left side panel. On a dishwasher, check the right side of the door opening. On a range, look on the left side of the door or drawer frame.
